| e CD was recorded at Bias studios in Springfield , VA. (the same studio as used by "the seldom scene" , Mary Chapin Carpenter ) in my opinion it's one of the best recording studios in the world . They've churned out a LOT of Gold, & Platinum records, as well as a healthy amout of Grammy awards! Engineered by Mike Fisher. I played my "new" old banjo....a 1930 Gibson Florentine. Mastertone.My microphone choice was a pair of old Telefunken & Neumann U47 for guitar and mandolin, and Neumann U89 for banjo. Vocals all done on a Neumann U87. My mandolin is a Eiichi Sumi made KM-1000.....GREAT mandolin! additional recording was done at Derek Studios in Dalton, MA. |
